Who We Are
Boutique Speed, Senior Attention

Echo Communications Advisors is a policy-first climate and energy communications firm. Based in Washington, DC, we exclusively help climate, renewable energy and climate tech start-up clients achieve their most critical policy, regulatory, and funding objectives at the federal and state levels, including by navigating ever-changing political environments. Our clients include renewable energy companies, climate tech start-ups, advocacy organizations, trade associations, and individual leaders. We also support pro-climate elected officials and candidates by raising their profiles and helping them win campaigns.
What We Do
How We Can Work Together
Monthly Retainer ($12k-$30k/month)
This is our most common way of working with clients. You get access to all of our services each month. We work closely with you as trusted partners and on longer-term goals.
While this is our typical arrangement, we understand that not every client needs us for ongoing work. We offer other ways to help you that can serve as valuable, one-off engagements, or as a way to test out a partnership with us before going deeper.
Here are some ways we help organizations and businesses like yours. Early-stage climate tech start-ups (Series A or earlier) are eligible for a 50% discount for all services—email us at info@darkorange-hummingbird-253405.hostingersite.com to verify your eligibility.
Media Training ($1.5k-7.5k)
Whether you’re facing a live camera, a policy podcast, or a skeptical reporter, strong media skills are no longer optional—they’re essential. Echo Communications Advisors’ offers three levels of media training—essentials, enhanced and expert—to match your level of experience, current priorities and budget. We provide the tools you need to develop and deliver your core message in any setting so you can reach your organizational goals.
Communications Diagnostic ($5k)
Our Communications Diagnostic offers a fresh, objective look at how your organization is showing up in the world. We assess whether your current messaging is landing as intended, how your story is resonating, and what your stakeholders are actually seeing and consuming. Through a thorough evaluation, we generate a scorecard across key categories and deliver clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
Media Events ($1k-5k)
Whether you’re launching a new initiative, reacting to policy developments, or elevating local voices, a well-executed media event can drive attention, shape narratives, and deliver your message to the audiences that matter. At Echo Communications Advisors, we help climate, clean energy, and mission-driven organizations plan and execute media events that make news—in Washington, D.C. and in states across the country. From Capitol Hill press conferences to ribbon-cuttings in rural communities, we know how to create the right setting, message, and moment to break through.

News & Insights
Heatmap News featured Chris Moyer in an interview about the wind energy's communications strategy and how he believes the industry and companies should be more aggressively countering attacks based on falsehoods.
"Choosing to stay silent is choosing to forfeit. That's letting opponents define the narrative," he said in a memo. "If the industry loses public support, members of Congress and other elected officials will follow. That means projects won't get approved and more companies may go out of business," he added.
Silence invites defeat. Strategic, disciplined communication builds strength and shapes narratives. The wind industry should adopt a stronger posture—their survival may depend on it.
